It was just a few weeks ago when the Dallas Mavericks struck gold.

The Mavericks signing Klay Thompson might've been their best summer free agency signing of all time.

Many sports analysts have described this move as one of the biggest in this season's edition of free agency.

One sports insider has gone even deeper to praise Thompson's move to a team that's ready now.

Jay Williams says Mavericks got Klay Thompson at the perfect time

The Dallas Mavericks have the best shot to work with Thompson to get his fifth championship.

ESPN NBA analyst Jay Williams has recently praised Thompson and the Mavericks by saying this is the right move at the right time.

Thompson is someone who can work well with Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving in terms of getting good looks a lot this upcoming season.

The time for Dallas is now following their free agency season. Their lopsided loss to the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals can be now prevented with Thompson playing as a 3-and-D guy.

Last season was unusual for Thompson as he saw some action off the bench. If Thompson were to get in some sort of slump, he'd be coming off the bench with energy.

The best way for Dallas to use Thompson is to make shots at a high clip and play defense. Compared to playing on Golden State and being forced to be the second guy to make shots, Dallas has plenty of wiggle room to work when it comes to Thompson's game.

Williams' point is accurate when talking about how Dallas made the right move at the right time, with the right coach. Although Jason Kidd has been criticized at different points in his career, he's at his peak in his coaching career right now. He probably has the best roster he's ever had in this present time.
