One of the Dallas Mavericks' best moves in franchise history was when they traded Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, and draft capital to the Brooklyn Nets for Kyrie Irving and Markieff Morris.

Dallas ended up missing the playoffs after this trade, but the following season was a masterpiece by Irving and the Mavs. Irving and Luka Doncic's togetherness pushed the Mavs all the way to the NBA Finals, and they are on track to have another great season once again.

Although Irving is injured right now with a broken hand, he is expected to be ready to roll for training camp. Irving has even been a huge difference-maker on the floor for the Mavs this summer, as he was key in recruiting Klay Thompson to Dallas and joined his teammates on a trip to Los Angeles even though he couldn't participate in the five-on-five action.

Zion Williamson names Kyrie Irving a top trash talker in NBA

Irving has been a dream fit in Dallas in all of the ways you'd immediately expect, but he has also gained a compliment recently from Zion Williamson that no one would expect out of him.

In a video from Overtime, Williamson named Irving as one of the best trash talkers in the NBA. Doncic is usually considered one of the biggest trash talkers in the NBA, but this isn't something that Irving is typically known for.

"He never initiates it from what I've seen," Williamson said about Irving "But when someone does talk trash to him, he takes it to another gear."

Williamson thinks that Irving isn't someone to start the talking, but he is one to join in if someone comes at him first. Irving doesn't start the trash talk, but he does finish it.

Irving's calm demeanor on the floor is something that the Mavs needed considering Doncic's personality, and they do a good job of balancing each other out. Both of them talk trash when needed, and their chemistry has helped the Mavs significantly.

Trash talk is an art, and from what Williamson said, Irving seems to have it down. Having the self-control to not start it and the tenacity to finish it is what Mavs fans love to see, and Irving isn't one to back down from anyone.

Irving showed this early on during his time with Dallas, as he came to Doncic's defense during a scuffle that he had with Devin Booker. He came in and began jawing with Booker, and Irving's killer instinct is something Mavs fans have grown to love.

He never shies away from the big moment, and his consistent dominance in the clutch has been a major help for Dallas. He isn't afraid of anyone or any moment and you can't teach that.
