Trash-talking is one part of the NBA that doesn't happen as much as it used to, but still happens on a nightly basis.

All of the players are extremely competitive, and sometimes that competitiveness boils over into trash-talking.

Dallas Mavericks fans know all about trash talk, as superstar Luka Doncic isn't afraid to talk some trash if someone talks to him first. Doncic's most iconic trash-talking moments come in the 2022 Western Conference Finals against Devin Booker. The two always seemed to be jawing, and they both got technicals for a trash-talk-filled altercation that happened in their last matchup back in March.

It's no secret that Doncic talks trash, and one 8-time NBA All-Star gave some insight into Doncic's trash talk on a recent podcast.

Paul George hosts a podcast called "Podcast P with Paul George" and talked about Doncic and how much he trash talks, and even called him "the GOAT."

"He talks that (expletive) too," George said. "If you talk to him, he's going to talk that (expletive) to you. He not backing down."

George refrained from sharing the specifics of what Doncic says and later called him "a cold killer for the (expletive) he says."

This is all a great sign, as long as Doncic doesn't let his trash talk distract him from playing the game. We've seen Doncic's complaining to referees have a negative impact on his game (complaining rather than running back on defense), and hopefully his trash talk doesn't start to have negative effects either.

Trash talk is good in doses, and it shows how competitive Doncic is. Just like George said, he backs down from no one and tells you how it is. George has played Doncic twice in the playoffs and has likely experienced his trash-talking firsthand.

Doncic is fearless and believes he is the best player on the floor no matter what. He backs down from no one, and his teammates also always have his back.

Doncic is all about winning, and he is going to do and say whatever it takes to get the win and throw his opponents off their game.

We'll have you covered with all the latest news and rumors surrounding Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks this summer, so stay tuned.
