Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving's search for a new sneaker home continues as another multi-billion dollar shoe company reportedly has "heavy" interest in him.

Brandon "Scoop B" Robinson, the Senior Lead NBA Insider at Bally Sports, reported that Anta is making a push for Irving. Robinson has been a trusted source for Irving's sneaker news for the past few weeks and a proven source for news surrounding Irving in the past. Robinson also responded to a tweet regarding Adidas and Puma's interest in Irving with "Don't sleep on Anta."

Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving is getting interest from Anta in sneaker free agency

Robinson seems to have a hunch that Anta could be the one to snag Irving in his sneaker free agency. Anta is the sneaker home of high-level NBA players such as Klay Thompson, Gordon Hayward, Alex Caruso, and multiple others. Players like Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett have even signed contracts with Anta at one point in their careers, and Irving could be the next star player to join the Chinese shoe company.

Irving signed his Nike contract in 2014, but it was officially terminated in December of 2022 after Irving posted a link to antisemitic content. Irving wore his signature Nike Kyrie's with tape covering the logo following this situation, but the time has come for Irving to find a new sneaker home.

Anta would likely offer Irving a massive contract to headline their basketball line and be the face of the company. He would be the best player to have a sneaker deal with Anta and likely have the creative freedom that he wants to design more than just a shoe.

Along with Irving's sneaker free agency comes his free agency as a player. Irving enters unrestricted free agency this summer seeking a near-max contract and is in "no rush" to make a decision. The Dallas Mavericks are hopeful that they can re-sign him to build a superstar duo with Luka Doncic, but anything can happen.

Stay tuned to see where Kyrie Irving signs in free agency and which company he inks his new sneaker deal with. This summer will be filled with news surrounding the star point guard that you won't want to miss, and we'll have you covered.
