5. Richaun Holmes

The Dallas Mavericks have been shopping Richaun Holmes ever since they traded for him on draft night as they tried to move him in a trade for Deandre Ayton later that night, but the deal fell through.

Holmes has not been a rotation piece for the Mavs for the entire season, and his large contract is not something that the Mavs seem to want on their books over the next two seasons. He is set to make almost $25 million over the next two seasons (assuming he opts into his player-option this summer) and the Mavs could use him as salary filler in a trade to upgrade their roster.

Dallas would almost certainly have to include draft capital or young talent to get Holmes off their books, as he doesn't provide much of an impact anymore, but his contract makes a ton of sense to move if Dallas is absorbing a big contract.

Holmes doesn't seem like he is in the Mavs' long-term plans, so don't be shocked if he is playing elsewhere to finish the season.
