With the NBA trade deadline quickly approaching, rumors continue to fly thorughout the NBA world.

There seems to be new intel about potential trades every single day, and the Dallas Mavericks have been involved in plenty of rumors over the last few weeks.

This season alone, the Mavs have been in trade rumors for Dorian Finney-Smith, Isaiah Stewart, Pascal Siakam, and Jerami Grant. Dallas wants to upgrade at the power forward position, and now we know who the Mavs are looking to trade at the deadline.

Rumors: Dallas Mavericks are shopping two veterans ahead of trade deadline

According to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, who was on a Twitter Space with Toronto Raptors fans on Tuesday, the Mavs are shopping Tim Hardaway Jr. and Richaun Holmes.

"Dallas is now starting to emerge as a Western Conference contender that is on the phones trying to see what's available for Richaun Holmes, and Tim Hardaway Jr.'s name is coming back up again," Fischer said.

Both of these players have been in trade rumors for some time now, as Hardaway Jr. was in trade rumors all summer, and the Mavs were trying to move Holmes on draft night after they landed him in a trade along with Olivier-Maxence Prosper.

It's no shocker that the Mavs are shopping Holmes, but Dallas trading Hardaway Jr. was seeming like something they could stay away from. He has emerged as a lead Sixth Man of the Year candidate this season, and his 3-point shooting off the bench has been invaluable.

Losing Hardaway Jr. would be hard, but it would give the chance to players like Seth Curry and Jaden Hardy to step up. Both players have shown flashes that they can be effective off the bench this season, but them replicating Hardaway Jr.'s production would be challenging.

If the Mavs were to include Hardaway Jr. in a trade, it could involve them landing a "big fish" type of player though, and that could be worth it as someone like Siakam or Grant could turn the Mavs into Finals contenders.

A Siakam to Dallas trade was seeming unlikely a few days ago, but it is starting to seem more likely by the day.
