The Dallas Mavericks are just three days away from kicking off the 2023-24 NBA preseason, and all of the NBA world's eyes will be on Dallas.

This is the first NBA game since June 12 when the Denver Nuggets defeated the Miami Heat in five games in the 2023 NBA Finals, and everyone that has missed basketball will be tuned into this game.

Some of the biggest storylines surrounding the Mavs during training camp were the emergence of the rookies, Tim Hardaway Jr. and his new role off the bench, Josh Green's potential contract extension, and the pairing of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

Mavericks star Kyrie Irving reveals new celebration for upcoming season

Doncic and Irving now had a full training camp to bond and play together, which will hopefully result in improved on-court chemistry. Dallas struggled last season after the trade for Irving and ended up missing the playoffs, and this season could have a different result if Doncic and Irving are on the same page.

At Mavs Media Day, Irving revealed a new celebration for the 2023-24 season. Irving isn't one known for celebrating, but his new celebration is something to keep an eye on.

Irving called the new celebration "the bus driver," and here he explains what the celebration means and when he'll do it.

Kyrie said that he'll pull out this celebration "every time you see me put somebody on skates, put them in the back of the bus where the kids belong. Sit down, buckle up."

Irving shifts defenders often, so fans could see Irving pull out the bus driver celebration early and often. He is one of the best ball handlers that this league has ever seen, and fans should be excited to have Irving back in a Mavs uniform.

He seems fully locked in on winning in Dallas, and fans' first chance to see Irving's new bus driver celebration will be on October 5 as the Mavs take on the Minnesota Timberwolves in Abu Dhabi. This game will be fans' first chance to see Olivier-Maxence Prosper and Dereck Lively II in the starting lineup next to Doncic and Irving, and if they perform and fit well, they could be in the starting lineup for the start of the regular season.

We'll have you covered with all the latest news on Kyrie Irving and the Dallas Mavericks this season, so stay tuned.
