The Dallas Mavericks have been involved in some of the most trade rumors in the NBA over the last few days as the front office searches for another small forward or power forward.

Dallas' newest rumored interest is in Miles Bridges of the Charlotte Hornets, but there was some new intel on Sunday that linked the Mavs to an elite offensive-minded wing from the Washington Wizards.

According to a report by NBA Insider Marc Stein (subscription required), "The Mavericks, league sources say, are among the teams that have inquired with Washington about its willingness to part with forward Kyle Kuzma." Stein also said that the Sacramento Kings are another team that is known to be "Kuzma fans."

Kuzma is someone whom Mavs fans and media have speculated about Dallas trading for, especially with their newly reported interest in Daniel Gafford, and he could be exactly what Mark Cuban and Nico Harrison want in their starting wing.

This season for the Wizards, Kuzma is averaging 21.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game while shooting 45.4 percent from the field and 34.1 percent from downtown. Kuzma is an elite scorer on the wing, and his ability to handle the ball and light up the scoreboard are some qualities that could intrigue Dallas.

Kuzma can score at all three levels, and he would be getting plenty of open looks playing with Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. It would benefit the Mavs if they acquired one more player who can create their own shot, and Kuzma would be that and more.

The Wizards' asking price for Kuzma reportedly still remains at multiple first-round picks, which the Mavs can't offer, but maybe that price will come down as the trade deadline inches closer.

For all the latest on the Dallas Mavericks and their potential pursuit of a trade for Washington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma, stay tuned.
