Dallas Mavericks best lineup heading into 2022-2023 season: 3. All offense
What if the Mavs need a bucket late in a game, or they are trying to pull off a comeback in clutch time? How can Dallas maximize their offense, and give themselves the best odds to score? Here is a look at their best offensive lineup.
PG: Luka Doncic
SG: Spencer Dinwiddie
SF: Tim Hardaway Jr.
PF: Dorian Finney-Smith
C: Christian Wood
The Mavericks were at their best last season with two ball-handlers on the floor. It allowed them to diversify their offense and attack from different angles, and that made Dinwiddie a must in the backcourt next to Doncic. They are currently the only two playmakers on the Mavs roster, so he was the only option to flank number 77.
Hardaway Jr. brings a bit of shot creation and scoring punch to this group. Wood will be Luka’s pick and roll partner with Doe-Doe spacing the floor. Head coach Jason Kidd could reach deep into his bag of offensive tricks with this unit, and it would be deadly.
Do not expect this group to play massive minutes because of their defensive concerns. Kidd will prioritize that end of the floor and put Reggie Bullock in over THJ in crunch time.
