The Dallas Mavericks had one of the most successful offseasons in franchise history. The team upgraded its game on both sides of the ball and created one of the most dynamic rosters in the NBA.

The team revamped its roster by first acquiring 3-and-D specialist Quentin Grimes. This was a trade Dallas desperately needed, as they shed the contract of a struggling Tim Hardaway Jr. Grimes will be a huge defensive asset to the team looking to upgrade from Josh Green. Naji Marshall joined Grimes, as he will be a major improvement over Derrick Jones Jr. Marshall brings a ton of versatility and will be a menace for a team that struggled mightily in the finals.

However, the biggest move was the signing of Klay Thompson. The NBA sharpshooter brings a ton of firepower with an offense already loaded with stars like Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. His long-range game will be a big assist to a team that was three wins away from the NBA Finals.

Mavericks are setting the table for another great season in LA

Yet, despite the new members added to the team, Dallas continues to elevate their team chemistry. Several Mavericks players are training together in Los Angeles right now, and the team chemistry already seems to be excellent even though the season is months away.

Some of the Mavs training together in Los Angeles piggie backs off a report last month that detailed the Mavs' plans to hold training camp in Las Vegas. This is huge for the team because the players will be forced to spend more time together. They will constantly be together and possibly spend time doing various team activities. This is key because last season the Mavs' team chemistry took a huge leap towards the end of the season. It is what allowed Dallas to make a deep playoff run.

The team though seems to have taken that next step during their trip to Los Angeles. While working out in LA, Dallas players have been enjoying quality time together off the floor as well. Multiple players posted on Instagram that they were hanging out on a boat and spending time jumping off the top of the boat into the water. The biggest eye-opener was Thompson creating moments with his newest teammates, as Grimes posted a video of him jumping into the water.

Other Mavericks players who are in Los Angeles include Dereck Lively II, Jaden Hardy, and Irving. Even though Irving isn't cleared to do any 5-on-5 work, he is still spending time with his teammates.

Another one of the players on the boat was unsigned free agent Markieff Morris. The 2020 NBA Champion has expressed a desire to return to Dallas. He tweeted out Thursday morning his reiteration to get signed. If Dallas wants Morris back on the team, the team needs to create a roster spot.

Seeing Morris hanging out with the team is a plus though. Either way, the team seems to be headed in a positive direction. Dallas will have plenty of time to continue growing their team chemistry. Recent signs though suggest Mavs' fans could be in for a fun season.
