11. Olivier-Maxence Prosper
When the Dallas Mavericks drafted Olivier-Maxence Prosper last summer, he was someone who fans thought would be an impact player right away. Reports lined up with that as well, but Prosper's development didn't happen as quickly as some Mavs fans may have hoped.
As a rookie, Prosper averaged 3.0 points and 2.0 rebounds per game while shooting 28.9 percent from downtown. He only appeared in 40 games, and despite showing great flashes as a shooter in the G League, he wasn't ready for NBA action just yet.
Considering that Prosper is only 22 years old and on a rookie deal, he has some value, but he may not be the same player with all-star potential that many fans and media members alike believed him to be. Prosper can still turn into a great 3-and-D wing in the NBA one day, but he looks more like a project than he does a player who is ready to contribute to an NBA Finals team right now.
Dallas' championship window is right now, and it's a huge possibility that Prosper doesn't receive real minutes again in year two. He'll need to show that he developed significantly over the summer during training camp to cement himself as a rotation player next year.
Prosper's intangibles and potential may entice a rebuilding team, but it was clear last season that he wasn't ready to contribute for a contender just yet. He could have developed considerably over the summer, and his trade value would definitely rise if that was the case.
