The Dallas Mavericks are fresh off a conference finals appearance, and they are looking to build on last year’s run. Luka Doncic focused on his body and conditioning this summer as he attempts to lead his team on another deep playoff run. The 23-year-old superstar has been clear that winning the championship is the goal, and it will take plenty of work to get there.

Fans got an inside look at the team’s training camp on Sept. 30 as the NBA brought in cameras and filmed the entire session. Head coach Jason Kidd and Doncic were mic’d up in a unique experience that showed fans how the Hall of Fame point guard is coaching the team.

The pure joy the Mavericks are playing with jumped out during the session, and that only further came to light when the team released three minutes of Luka from Friday’s practice. The 23-year-old superstar was joking around and trying to sink his patented trick shots. Here is a closer look.

Luka was spotted poking fun at teammate Dorian Finney-Smith, singing, messing with Maxi Kleber and assistant coaches Sean Sweeney, Darrell Armstrong, and God Shammgod. He even cracked a joke on Mavericks GOAT Dirk Nowitzki. Fans can see the comedy gold below.

Number 77 is keeping things light during training camp, but the team is competing hard in their scrimmages. Head coach Jason Kidd is trying to keep everyone fresh and ready for the long grind of the regular season, so it is positive to see the team laughing and having some fun.

Doncic loves to play basketball, so fans should not be surprised that he is having a blast during training camp.
