The 2024 NBA Draft is just a couple of days away, and everyone is wondering about what moves the Dallas Mavericks will make.

They clearly need more shooting, but one move that could be on the horizon could shock everyone. Dallas has already been linked to Bronny James, and there have even been rumors flying that they could trade up ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers to draft him.

This type of move would shock the NBA world, and Lakers fans who want Los Angeles to draft James would be furious.

Regardless, draft night will be interesting to see, and Dallas has the chance to get significantly better if they can nail their second-round selection.

Last year, we saw Dallas select Dereck Lively II with the No. 12 overall pick, and later in the draft, they made a trade to select Olivier-Maxence Prosper. Lively II had an amazing rookie year, and although Prosper didn't get much playing time, the future is bright for him as well.

The Mavs have made trades in back-to-back NBA Drafts to improve their roster, and this year could be the exact same. Nico Harrison is always looking for ways to improve the roster, and the trade market will be one of the best ways to do that considering Dallas has limited cap space.

The Mavs have already revealed that their No. 1 priority is re-signing Derrick Jones Jr., but it seems like another move could be on the horizon as one of Dallas' veteran guards has been in trade rumors for multiple years now.

In this mock blockbuster trade, the Mavericks shed one of their worst contracts and swap sharpshooters with the Atlanta Hawks. Is this the type of move that guarantees the Mavs will have a top seed in the Western Conference next year? Or does Dallas have to cough up too much to make this deal go down?
