The Dallas Mavericks have started their 2024 free agency strong by acquiring Quentin Grimes, Naji Marshall, and Klay Thompson. However, the team can still add another piece to the roster.

Among the free agents still available, some of them have a history of playing for the Mavs. Those free agents can make a return to Big D and make a huge impact.

Reunions are never a bad thing for any player. And for the Mavericks, they can do that with five free agents that are still available to make the Mavericks' final roster spot.

Making the 2024 NBA Finals can draw strong interest for the five free agents to return and play for the Mavericks.

Dallas has been making big moves ever since Nico Harrison joined the team, and this summer is no different.

5. Reggie Bullock

Mavs fans are familiar with Reggie Bullock as he spent two seasons with the Mavs and was part of the 2022 team that made the Western Conference Finals.

Bullock left the Mavericks after 2023 and played a forgettable season last year with the Rockets. In his one season in Houston, Bullock averaged a disappointing 2.2 points per game. A fresh start in a return to Dallas could save Bullock Jr. at 33 years old.

With the loss of Derrick Jones Jr. and Tim Hardaway Jr. who both can play shooting guard and small forward, Bullock Jr. can play both positions if needed. Bullock is a tough defender and can shoot the three well too. Bullock is also a good leader in the locker room and can mentor some of the young Mavs players.

Bullock was one of the biggest x-factors when the Mavs made the Conference Finals in 2022 as he averaged 10.6 points per game in 18 playoff games.

With Bullock having a down 2023-24 season with the Mavs' in-state rival driving on I-45 South, a drive back up North might help his career and the Mavs.
