1 Question for every Dallas Mavericks player as countdown to NBA Playoffs begins

8. Josh Green
Will Josh Green be healthy for the first round of the playoffs?
In a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder about a week and a half ago, Dallas Mavericks guard Josh Green sprained his right ankle badly. Green rolled on the floor in pain and this was a big blow for the team considering how much energy he brings off the bench.
This season for the Mavs, Green is averaging 8.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 0.8 steals per game while shooting 49.3 percent from the field and 40.1 percent from downtown. Green is having a similar season to the year he had last year, and having him back for the playoffs is crucial.
But that's a big question mark.
Jason Kidd said Green would be out multiple weeks and getting him back before the playoffs is ideal. Having to incorporate Green into the rotation during the playoffs after not playing for a month would not be good for either side. Green is someone who plays his best when he is confident, and having a few games under his belt before the playoffs would allow him to build some consistency.
Green has been inconsistent all season but his energy and 3-point shooting from the corners have been missed. Dallas has not been a good shooting team recently, and Green's return could help them get moving in the right direction.
