1 Question for every Dallas Mavericks player as countdown to NBA Playoffs begins

3. Olivier-Maxence Prosper
Will Olivier-Maxence Prosper be in the Dallas Mavericks' rotation next season?
When the Dallas Maverick traded back into the first round to draft Olivier-Maxence Prosper during the 2023 NBA Draft, it was a move that everyone loved. The Mavs needed another wing with size, and Prosper was expected to be in the rotation right away.
Prosper didn't end up being as NBA-ready as originally expected, and he hasn't been a rotation player for most of the season. This season for Dallas, Prosper is averaging 2.4 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 0.6 assists per game while shooting 35.1 percent from the field and 23.5 percent from downtown. He has shown great flashes of potential at times, and his development in the G League shouldn't go unnoticed.
Prosper is shooting over 40 percent from 3-point range in the G League, and that was one area that he struggled in early in the season for Dallas. If Prosper can continue to shoot well while playing under control, he is someone who could be in Dallas' rotation next season.
He has not looked comfortable offensively when playing with Dallas this season but a full summer of offseason work could do the trick for him. Every Mavs fan wants to see Prosper succeed, and his attitude and work ethic will carry him far in this league.
