5 players Mavericks should have signed in free agency

It looks like the Dallas Mavericks' free agency is about over.
After the re-signing of Markieff Morris and waiving of JaVale McGee (Morris signing still isn't official yet), the Mavs 15-man roster seems about set. Training camp starts next month, and most of the top free agents have already signed with their new teams.

Dallas had a great offseason and got much better defensively, but there are still some former free agents that they should have signed this summer.
Here's a list of five players the Mavs should have signed in free agency.
5. Josh Okogie
Josh Okogie ended up re-signing with the Phoenix Suns on a two-year deal worth about $5.7 million. Okogie was one of the most underrated defenders in this year's free agent class, and the Mavs should have considered signing him.
Last season for the Suns, Okogie averaged 7.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game. He is one of the Suns' best perimeter defenders and would have been a great fit off the bench in Dallas.
The Mavs should have signed Okogie because they need a guard defender off the bench. Their bench unit is particularly weak when it comes to guard defenders, and Okogie could come in and fill that role.
Okogie is only 6-foot-4, but his 7-foot wingspan gives him one of the best possible guard-defender builds. and he uses it to his advantage. He is always flying around the court and making all sorts of plays on defense. He has a great motor and is also just 24 years old.
He would have been another young player to add to the Mavs core that would make their defense better immediately.
