1. Maxi Kleber

Another Dallas Maverick who was listed on the top trade candidates list due to Dallas' "surplus of big men on the roster" is Maxi Kleber.

Kleber has been out for a couple of weeks due to a toe injury, but he has not looked great when he has been on the floor.

This season, Kleber is averaging 3.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game while shooting 25 percent from the floor. These stats are a bit skewed since he has only played in five games, but fans have every right to be concerned about Kleber's poor play.

He doesn't protect the rim anymore, his movement is hindered, and his confidence on the offensive end has almost been completely depleted. Not to mention that Kleber is also in year one of a three-year, $33 million contract extension that he signed before last season.

This extension is looking quite bad for Dallas right about now, and it may be the best decision to move him while they can. Just like Richaun Holmes' contract, Kleber's contract is moveable and would help Dallas match up the money in whatever trade they decide to make.

It's no guarantee that Dallas will make a trade at the deadline, but it's no secret that Nico Harrison likes to make upgrades at the trade deadline. He has made big moves in back-to-back seasons as he traded for Kyrie Irving last season and traded Kristaps Porzingis the season before, and he could make another big splash here in a few months.

For all the latest on the Dallas Mavericks this season, stay tuned.
