3. Brandon Miller

Last week's rank: 3

Since the trade deadline, the Charlotte Hornets are on a four-game winning streak and have looked like a new team through the process. The deadline additions of Tre Mann and Grant Williams have sparked this young Hornets squad and led them to victory over the past two weeks.

Despite having a few quiet performances after the trade deadline, Brandon Miller has become one of the leading players on this Hornets team. He has become one of the outspoken leaders and has even led the Hornets in scoring multiple times as a rookie.

In the Hornets' last two victories, Miller has become a leader on the defensive end. Right before the All-Star break, Miller had a game-high three blocks in the blowout victory over the Toronto Raptors. In the Hornets' most recent win, Miller led the charge with four steals.

Fans have been clamoring for Miller to take advantage of the time that LaMelo Ball has missed, and he finally seems to be doing so. As a rookie, Miller has become one of the leaders for the Hornets, and adding Grant Williams has only made his leadership develop.

The Hornets' impressive four-game winning streak will be tested against the Warriors on Friday night. If Miller can step up to the plate and deliver yet another win, Miller could rise on next week's ranking.
