9. Must-avoid: Miles Bridges

The Dallas Mavericks' rumored interest in Miles Bridges has had some conflicting reports, but he is a player that they should avoid making a move for.

Although Bridges is having a great season for the Charlotte Hornets, the most concerning part about trading for him is the fact that he becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer and the Mavs could lose him for nothing if he decided not to re-sign.

This is not a risk that the Mavs should take, especially if he is their biggest trade acquisition, and it wouldn't be worth it for Dallas to give up draft capital and potentially a young asset to land Bridges.

On the other hand, if the Mavs think they could re-sign him and strongly believe in his fit, he could be a solid piece on this Mavs team. This season for the Hornets, Bridges is averaging 21.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game while shooting 45.8 percent from the field and 36.1 percent from downtown.

He is having the best season of his career and is coming off a career-high of 41 points against the Los Angeles Lakers, which could consequently drive his value up. It seems as if the Phoenix Suns are the team to watch regarding Bridges, but don't be surprised if the Mavs reemerge in the next few days.
