The Dallas Mavericks' roster seems to be complete with training camp quickly approaching, and their summer has been a crazy one.

It all started with them re-signing Kyrie Irving and signing Seth Curry on the first night of free agency, but they made plenty of other great moves as well.

Dallas had a phenomenal draft night in which they drafted Dereck Lively II and Olivier-Maxence Prosper in the first round, while also landing big man Richaun Holmes via trade.

Dallas buckled down on their biggest needs this summer, and the sky is the limit for this team as they still have Irving and Luka Doncic driving the ship. It is yet to be seen how they will fit together this season, but a full offseason of training should prepare this duo for what's to come once October 25 rolls around.

As everyone knows, not every free agency target ends up getting signed to the team that targeted them at one point or another, and one of Dallas' targets recently got signed to an Eastern Conference team.

This player would be Kelly Oubre Jr., and he is "expected to sign a one-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers" according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Dallas showed interest in signing Oubre Jr. back in the middle of July, but it doesn't seem like their interest was super serious.

Last season for the Charlotte Hornets, Oubre Jr. averaged 20.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game. This was the best season of Oubre Jr.'s career by far, but it seems that most people feared that Oubre Jr.'s play was just empty stats, and he shouldn't be a highly-valued free agent.

It seems that most teams thought the same way, as he stayed on the open market for so long, and now the former Mavericks free agent target will be playing on the East Coast with Joel Embiid.

Oubre Jr. could make a big impact in year one for the Sixers, as wing happens to be a bit of a weak spot on the squad.

We'll have you covered with all the latest news and rumors surrounding the Dallas Mavericks this season, so stay tuned.
