The Dallas Mavericks finally got their regular season schedule on Wednesday afternoon, and it is packed with exciting games. The league has arguably never been deeper, and Luka Doncic is one of the most entertaining players. It is why the Mavs got 30 nationally televised games in the 2022-2023 regular season.

Dallas reached the conference finals in 2022, but they lost Jalen Brunson in free agency. How will the Mavericks make up for losing their second-leading scorer? They traded for Christian Wood, signed JaVale McGee, and Tim Hardaway Jr. will be back from his season-ending foot surgery. They should have plenty of offense, and the front office would like to further improve the roster before this season’s trade deadline.

With the schedule dropping, what are the cannot miss games for fans? What teams can they not wait to see? Here is a look at the top five, plus a bonus selection.

Game Dallas Mavericks fans cannot miss in 2022-2023 season: Bonus: Grizzlies in home opener

Matchup: Memphis Grizzlies at Dallas Mavericks on Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m. CT on NBA TV

The Mavs face division rival Memphis Grizzlies in their home opener. The Grizzlies took the division last season after Dallas captured it in 2021. It will be Ja Morant versus Luka Doncic in a battle of the top young point guards in the league.

Memphis will be without Jaren Jackson Jr. as he recovers from a foot injury, but injuries did not slow down the Grizzlies as they finished with the second-best regular season record in the Western Conference last season. Expect plenty of fireworks in Mavs versus Grizzlies in the first game of the season at the American Airlines Center.
