Luka Doncic is already a top-two Dallas Maverick of all time after five years in the NBA, has already made the Western Conference Finals, and has been named to an All-NBA Team four times.
He has the chance to go down as one of the greatest players of all time and is a fan favorite in Dallas.
But could Doncic request a trade out of Dallas soon?
Bleacher Report predicts Luka Doncic will request a trade off Dallas Mavericks
Bleacher Report thinks he will.
Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report published an article titled "Predicting the Next Wave of NBA Stars to Request a Trade" and listed Doncic as the No. 1 player. To defend his argument, he brought up the trade rumors from the end of last season and Dallas' offseason decisions, but there was no evidence in his story that Doncic would do this. He was just guessing, as stated in the title of the story.
In the first five years of his NBA career, Doncic averaged 27.6 points, 8.6 rebounds, 8.0 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. Last season he dropped a 60-point triple-double, and he shows all-time great flashes every time he steps on the floor. The Mavs have a chance to win no matter who they are playing every time he steps on the floor.
And hopefully he doesn't request a trade if things don't go as planned this season.
There has been no evidence that Doncic wants out of Dallas, and he even shut down the trade rumors from last season. Doncic seems to be in some of the best shape of his NBA career right now and will look to have a massive season for the Mavs as they try to return to the playoffs.
Doncic will be playing in the FIBA World Cup next month, and it will be fans' first chance to see how hard he has been working this summer. He is already one of the best players in the NBA, and he looks as if he is training the hardest he ever has right now.
Doncic will have a chip on his shoulder going into next season as he obviously hates losing and wants to go win an NBA Championship.
Stay tuned to see how Doncic responds this season after missing the playoffs last season. It will be he and Kyrie Irving's first full season of playing together, so fans should be excited about the potential of this team.
