2022 NBA Draft mock #22: Memphis Grizzlies (via Lakers): Tristan Vukcevic
Vukcevic made his debut for Real Madrid’s senior team last season. The 18-year-old was limited to just 8.8 minutes per over 23 games, but it was impressive seeing a teenager play a limited role for one of the best teams outside of the NBA. He averaged 3.0 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 0.4 blocks each night.
Vukcevic is 6’10 with incredible touch around the basket. He plays well in transition and is developing a mid-range game to complement his offensive skill set.
The big man will be looking to take on a larger role at Real Madrid this season. He needs to add size and continue developing his jumper to climb up draft boards. Right now, Vukcevic is comfortably a first-round pick if he declares for the 2022 NBA Draft, but he will need to have a strong season to maintain or boost his value.
The Grizzlies receive this pick from the Lakers if it falls outside the top ten, and Memphis is likely to have three first-round selections in this draft. Taking Tristan Vukcevic gives them the draft and stash option, while also grabbing a skilled 6’10 big man that could transform into a stretch five if he reaches his ceiling.
