The genesis of the Dallas Mavericks' 2024-25 season is exactly nine days away as Dallas will take on the San Antonio Spurs at the American Airlines Center for the season opener.

Even though the Mavs have had a slow start to their preseason, there is plenty of promise radiating around this team ahead of the regular season. Klay Thompson looks excellent thus far, and the team is laying the foundation for another great season through their focus on team chemistry.

Dallas hosted training camp in Las Vegas, which was excellent for team chemistry, and Kyrie Irving is already making sure to do his part when it comes to being one of the leaders of the team ahead of the regular season beginning. Irving did a great job as a leader last season, and it seems that his role as a leader will continue into the 2024-25 season.

Kyrie Irving strengthens Mavs' chemistry with event at his home in LA

Ahead of the Mavs' game against the LA Clippers last night, Dallas flew to LA a couple of days before, and Irving hosted an event at his house. Naji Marshall described the trip to LA as an "amazing bonding experience," and Irving and the Mavs are picking up right where they left off last season when it comes to chemistry.

Dallas' deep-rooted team chemistry helped lead them all the way to the NBA Finals last season, and Irving played a big part in this. He hosted an event at his home in LA last season as well, and he has taken his role as a leader seriously.

Irving hosting all of his teammates at his home in LA before the season begins shows how much he truly cares about this organization, and he is ready for another great season with the Mavs.

Despite not being healthy for part of the offseason due to a broken hand, Irving still made sure to make an effort to spend time with his teammates. Almost the entire Mavs roster took a trip to LA this offseason to bond, and Irving still showed up despite not being cleared for five-on-five activities.

Irving's maturity and growing leadership abilities have been huge for his player development in Dallas, and he and Luka Doncic are the two standout leaders on the team. While Doncic isn't as vocal or intentional of a leader as Irving, they are both still the two players who everyone looks to when things get tough.

The event at Irving's home illustrates the type of person, teammate, and leader he truly is, and his addition to this organization has been groundbreaking. The Mavs reached the NBA Finals in his first full season with the team, and he is already laying the foundation for making this happen again.

Bonding is crucial at this time since the regular season is approaching fast, and Irving is showing his true colors as a leader of the pack before the rigorous season officially begins.
