Dallas Mavericks big man Maxi Kleber gave his teammates a lesson on the German language with hilarious results. Check out the video here.
The Dallas Mavericks are one of the best teams in the NBA at scouting international talent. Going all the way back to Dirk Nowitzki, they believe in finding skills. The Mavs are not afraid to travel to locate it.
Supporters know that both of their current stars are from Europe. Luka Doncic is Slovenian and Kristaps Porzingis hails from Latvia. The Mavericks currently have six international players on their roster. They are Dwight Powell (Canada), Maxi Kleber (Germany), J.J. Barea (Puerto Rico), Boban Marjanovic (Serbia), and the two stars. They began the year with a league-high seven players, but Ryan Broekhoff was waived in February.
The international flavor means the team has the ability to speak multiple different languages. The Mavericks have been putting together videos of a player teaching the others how to speak their native one. Boban Marjanovic kicked it off with some Serbian. Now, Maxi Kleber took his turn giving his teammates a lesson in German.

Hopefully, the video brought a smile to your face in this difficult time. Barea gave an answer featuring his old teammate and Mavericks GOAT Dirk Nowitzki at the end of the video. That made me chuckle. Boban doing the bobblehead did too.
There is still not much clarity of when or if the season will resume. Commissioner Adam Silver announced he would not decide this month. There are no guarantees. It is all just waiting to see how things play out.
Hopefully, fans are staying safe and healthy. Remember, we are all in this together. Be smart and make the most of your time at home.
