Dallas Mavericks sensation Luka Doncic practiced fully on Friday giving him the all clear to play against the Warriors on Nov. 17 and more news on the team.

The Dallas Mavericks are looking to win their fourth straight game when they face the Golden State Warriors on Saturday.  The Mavs are playing their best basketball of the season, and their stout defense is leading to wins.

The Warriors will be without Steph Curry and Draymond Green against the Mavs.

Let us take a closer look at news about the Dallas Mavericks heading into the Nov. 17 game.

Doncic expecting to play

Prized rookie Luka Doncic gave fans a scare after their last game.  Luka played well, but he went for X-rays after the contest.  It was a shoulder injury that has him listed as questionable, but here is the report from Friday’s practice courtesy of Dwain Price.

The fanbase can officially breathe a sigh of relief, but the news was not as positive on another Mavericks starter.

Matthews out with hamstring injury

Wesley Matthews missed the Nov. 12 game in Chicago with a hamstring injury.  He played against the Jazz, but in the third quarter, he felt the pain again.  Here is what Coach Carlisle had to say about the injury after Friday’s practice according to Dwain Price.

Matthews could be facing an extended period on the sidelines to let that hamstring fully heal.  Fans know Iron Man will want to get back on the court as soon as possible, though.

Mavericks have Thanksgiving meal and share surprising news

The team and staffers had their annual Thanksgiving meal on Friday.  It is a fantastic bonding time for the entire organization.  Coach Carlisle kicked it off with a brief speech that shared some unexpected news.  Check it out here courtesy of the Mavs official Twitter account.

It is fantastic news that legend is back practicing.  Dirk Nowitzki is likely still a few weeks away from seeing game action, but it is comforting to know that his return is on the horizon.  Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
