Dallas Mavericks guard Devin Harris practiced on Friday putting him likely to return on Nov. 10 against the Thunder and more Mavs news.

The Dallas Mavericks host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday evening.  Injuries on both teams are likely to play a significant factor in that contest.

The Mavericks have seven players listed on the official NBA injury report.  Three are on because they are playing for the Texas Legends in the G-League.  The Mavs have ruled out Dirk Nowitzki (more on the legend in a moment).  Luka Doncic and Wesley Matthews are listed as questionable.  Both practiced on Friday and are likely to play.

Devin Harris has battled a hamstring injury since opening night, but there could be light at the end of the tunnel.  He is officially listed as questionable.  Here is what Coach Carlisle had to say after Friday’s practice courtesy of Dwain Price.

Getting the veteran back would be a boost for the Mavericks.  Hopefully, Harris can play against Oklahoma City.

Westbrook listed as out

The Thunder have Russell Westbrook listed as out with an ankle injury.  They are still dangerous, but missing their star player is a significant disadvantage.  Things could change, so monitor Westbrook’s status before tipoff.

Dirk to interview during Saturday’s game

The Mavericks have been without one of the all-time great players all season.  Dirk Nowitzki is finally putting up some shots during workouts but has yet to practice in an official capacity.

The legend will be part of Saturday’s game, though.  Here is the Tweet breaking the news from Mavs broadcaster Mark Followill.

The Mavericks are wearing their newly released uniforms for the first time against the Thunder, so perhaps that is why Dirk is joining the broadcast.  Regardless of the topic, it is always great to hear from the GOAT.

Mavs release documentary

The Mavericks released a new behind the scenes look at the team on Youtube on Friday.  It is just the first part in the series that is likely to last the entire regular season.  You check out the episode below.
