Dallas Mavericks forward Harrison Barnes hopes to make his season debut on Friday in Toronto against the Raptors and more news.

The Dallas Mavericks had an absolutely ugly loss on Wednesday evening.  They ran out to a fast start and led the Atlanta Hawks by 26 points in the second quarter before collapsing.  The Hawks ultimately won 111-104 in a game that left Mavs scratching their heads.

The team is without three key rotation players, though.  Let take a look at some news regarding each of those men.

Barnes hopes to return Friday

Harrison Barnes is back at practice, and the Mavericks need their leading scorer for two straight seasons back on the court.  That day could be the next game according to Marc J. Spears.

Devin Harris out Friday

Mavs veteran guard Devin Harris will be out a little longer with his hamstring injury.  Dwain Price sent out the following Tweet before Wednesday’s game.

Dirk and Vince Carter pregame

Former Maverick Vince Carter now plays for the Atlanta Hawks.  He and Dirk are the two oldest active NBA players.  They were interviewed together on the ESPN broadcast of Wednesday’s game that is worth checking out below courtesy of the official NBA Twitter account.
