Dallas Mavericks: Harrison Barnes believes in the flair of Luka Doncic

The Dallas Mavericks leading scorer Harrison Barnes believes the passing ability of Luka Doncic improves the entire team.

Dallas Mavericks forward Harrison Barnes has seen a ton of basketball in his life.  From being the top high school recruit in the country to playing two seasons at the University of North Carolina to his six years in the NBA, Barnes has done a lot too.  He won a ring in 2015 with the Warriors.

Barnes has led the Mavericks in scoring in both his seasons in Dallas.  The Mavs have not won a ton of games, but Barnes has consistently been their top player.  He averaged 19 points per game over those two years, something not many NBA players can say.

That balance of power is shifting, though.  Mavericks legend and future Hall of Famer Dirk Nowitzki is inching closer to retirement, and the Mavericks add a sensational talent in Luka Doncic.  Doncic is a baller.  He can dribble, pass, shoot, and find an open teammate.  Doncic is a dream teammate for any NBA player.

Barnes showers Doncic with praise

If you caught the Mavs first preseason game, you know exactly what Barnes is speaking of here.  Doncic makes the pass, but there is this little bit of extra on it.  It could be a between the legs dribble or a no-look pass, but Doncic adds that something extra.

Luka Doncic had his teammates fired up and created plenty of open looks for them in his first game as a Maverick.  Expect plenty more of that as the season goes on.  Dallas fans are quickly going to fall in love with his game.
