Dallas Mavericks rookie Luka Doncic was working on his floater in practice on Sept. 28, and they are must-see for Mavs fans.
The Dallas Mavericks and their fans cannot wait to see Luka Doncic play basketball this season. He was already a European sensation when they drafted him, but the legend has only grown since coming to Dallas. Doncic’s teammates rave about his passing ability and the impact he has made during scrimmages.
Fans are clamoring to see Doncic in a Mavs uniform. Their first chance will be on Sept. 29 in the Mavericks preseason opener against the Beijing Ducks. The Mavs head to China on Monday for two preseason contests against the Philadelphia 76ers. The team’s first home regular season game is on Oct. 20 against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Floaters are insane
Luka Doncic is known for his passing and playmaking ability, but he has plenty of tricks in his bag. He can shoot the ball and create havoc for opposing defenders with his size and ability. Doncic also can nail a floater with the best of them. It is an impressive shot too.
Check out the video below from the Mavericks official Twitter showing off what makes Doncic’s floaters stand out.
They literally fly above the top of the backboard. Doncic’s floaters are a thing of beauty. Expect to see plenty of them this season.
Final thoughts
Luka Doncic showed off another of his many impressive skills in practice on Sept. 28. Dallas Mavericks fans are going to love watching this young man play basketball. He may not have the athleticism of Dennis Smith Jr. or the scoring ability of Harrison Barnes, but Doncic brings a game that will make highlight plays.
More importantly, Luka Doncic has won with every team he has played on, and the Mavericks are in line to be the next squad on that list. Bringing the Mavs back to the playoffs will endear him to the fan base on a whole new level.
Enjoy the show because Luka Doncic is bringing something special to Dallas.
