Dallas Mavericks: Luka Doncic has finally arrived in Dallas

Dallas Mavericks rookie and EuroLeague MVP Luka Doncic finally arrived in Dallas.  He is ready to begin preparing with his new team.

Dallas Mavericks fans have waited for this moment since draft night.  Slovenian sensation Luka Doncic is finally in Dallas.  He is a bit ahead of schedule, but he wants to meet his new teammates and begin preparing for his rookie season.

Directly to business

Expect Luka Doncic to hit the Mavs gym right away.  He will be learning a new system and set of teammates so the 19-year-old has a daunting task ahead of him.  Luckily, Dallas does not play their first regular season game until Oct. 17.

Doncic did a tremendous job running the show at Real Madrid last season, so expect him to pick up Coach Carlisle’s system quickly.  He should be running some exciting pick and rolls and finding plenty of open teammates come opening night.

Let the season begin

Mavericks fans are ready to get the season underway.  After an exciting offseason of moving up to draft Doncic and finally bringing DeAndre Jordan to Dallas, they want to see the Mavs take the court.  Luckily, their first preseason game is just over three weeks away.

It will be odd that Doncic’s first NBA game for the Mavericks will be against the Beijing Ducks on Sept. 29.
