Dallas Mavericks hit the zoo with season ticket holders

The Dallas Mavericks held an event at the Dallas zoo for season ticket holders featuring three players, owner Mark Cuban, and CEO Cynt Marshall on Aug. 25.

The Dallas Mavericks continue to take care of their season ticket holders.  The team held an exclusive event at the Dallas Zoo on Aug. 25.

Starting point guard Dennis Smith Jr. was in attendance along with fellow players Dorian Finney-Smith, and Maxi Kleber.  The Mavs also sent owner Mark Cuban and CEO Cynt Marshall to check out the zoo with the season ticket holders.  It looked like a fun day to enjoy the animals and hang out with the Mavericks.

Fans had plenty of opportunities to meet the players too.  The Mavs official Twitter caught this video in the Tweet below.

Dennis Smith Jr. continues to make appearances of behalf of the Mavericks organization.  He visited a local elementary school just this week to promote fitness and brighten up the first day.  Smith Jr. is a supreme talent and the organization is clearly investing him as a franchise building block moving forward.

DFS and Kleber fighting to make the roster

Training camp will be important for the other two Mavs who visited the zoo.  Both Dorian Finney-Smith and Maxi Kleber will be battling to secure a regular season roster spots this preseason.  They are both on cheap guaranteed contracts that the organization could consider cutting if a player surprises during training camp.  Salah Mejri also falls into that category.  Keep an eye out for how all three players are performing during camp.

Final thoughts
