Dallas Mavericks Announce Partnership With Favor
By Isaac Harris
The Dallas Mavericks and food delivery service, Favor, announce partnership for tickets and merchandise.
Over the past year in Dallas, when eating at different restaurants across the metroplex, I have noticed a common theme that you see almost on a daily basis: a person packing food in a quick manner with a turquoise shirt on that says “Favor”.
Back in 2013, a food delivery service was started where someone can download the app, order food from any restaurant nearby, and have it delivered to wherever they are at in under an hour.
Favor’s official website explains it as…
“Favor is the easiest way to get anything you want in your city delivered to your door in under an hour. Whether it’s lunch at the office, groceries for home or those errands you just don’t have time for — your personal delivery assistant can deliver it in just a couple taps. Favor is currently available in 15 cities across Texas, where it is the best rated delivery service.”
How does a food delivery service relate to the Dallas Mavericks?
On Thursday, November 9th, the Dallas Mavericks announced a partnership with Favor where fans can now purchase game tickets and Mavs merchandise through the app.
The owner of the Dallas Mavericks, Mark Cuban, says in the team’s official press release that it is another chance to connect with fans.
“Partnering with Favor gives us one more way to connect to our fans,” said Mavs Owner Mark Cuban. “If a Mavs fan doesn’t have time to search for tickets or a chance to visit the Hangar before a game, Favor can do it for you. It’s like having your own personal assistant. We’re excited to see where this partnership takes us.”

According to the press release, fans can check the app up to 48 hours before tip off to get tickets nearly 50% off. When you purchase the tickets, a runner (the Favor employee who delivers) will come to you with the tickets.
No more getting in traffic or trying to find a printer to print off your tickets, simply buy the tickets through the app and someone will deliver them to you in Dallas.
The press release also states that this is the first of its kind in the sports business.
“This marks a first-of-its-kind partnership between a professional sports team and an on-demand delivery app, providing a unique delivery experience to the Mavs fan base.”
Have a hoodie or jersey you have been eyeing, but don’t want to get out from your cozy apartment in Dallas or leave your workplace? Simply download the app, buy the team gear from the app and it will be delivered to you.
