The Dallas Mavericks were active at the start of free agency. They brought back Tim Hardaway Jr. and Boban Marjanovic just minutes after negotiations were permitted. The Mavs quickly agreed to deals with Reggie Bullock and Sterling Brown to improve their shooting and wing depth. Dallas is still missing a key piece of their offseason plan, though.
They wanted to add a marquee free agent, but that option could be discarded now. Kawhi Leonard is still available, but he will have his choice of teams, and Dallas does not appear to be on his list. Kyle Lowry decided to join the Miami Heat, and the other big names have mostly found homes. There are still a few potential high-end starters available, though.
The Mavericks have 15 players under contract and have operated as a team over the cap. If they acquire another player, it will be via a sign-and-trade. That will cost the Mavs assets, but their main focus should be building a title contender around Luka Doncic. That means adding the best possible players. Which available players could Dallas target?
5 available free agents the Dallas Mavericks should go after

The Mavericks could play hardball, and Dragic is likely to still be had after the market has dried up.
Here are five available free agents the Dallas Mavericks should still go after this summer.
