The Dallas Mavericks continue to add names to the roster as they sign veterean forward, Quincy Acy, to a two-year deal.

The 2016 offseason thus far has been about as unpredictable as they come for the Dallas Mavericks. After striking out on their two initial targets Mike Conley and Hassan Whiteside, the Mavs now have made some aggressive moves to fill out their roster.

Dallas just signed 25 year old former Kings forward Quincy Acy. The Mavs and Acy have agreed to a two year deal for the veterans minimum.

Acy has gained the reputation around the league of being a tough defender and enforcer. He is a surprising athlete who can play the 3 and 4 position, and also shot 38% from beyond the arc last season in Sacramento.

Acy is also from the Dallas area originally, so bringing him home was probably a good selling point for the Mavericks. It will be interesting to see what kind of role we use him for in his hometown.
