Dallas Mavericks wing Tyler Dorsey has played a key role for Greece in EuroBasket 2022, but he struggled in the first half on Tuesday. He was quiet against Great Britain last time out, and the 6’3 guard picked up two quick fouls against Ukraine that limited him to just six minutes of action in the first half. He had zero points, and Ukraine was up seven at the break.

Giannis Antetokounmpo took over in the third quarter, and that opened plenty of space for Dorsey to attack. The Greece duo sparked an impressive 32-11 third quarter that took them from behind into a comfortable advantage, and they never looked back. Dorsey had ten points in the third period as the Greeks picked up a 99-79 win over Ukraine on Sept. 6.

That certainly worked as the Greek Freak dominated the action and secure the victory for Greece. He finished with 41 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and one steal in a dominating performance as he continues to state his case for EuroBasket MVP.

Tyler Dorsey came out with ten points in the third quarter as Ukraine sold out to stop Giannis. He played a key role in helping Greece grab the advantage, and the 6’3 is an important scorer as they look to win EuroBasket 2022. Dorsey finished with 13 points, two assists, and two steals in 22.3 minutes of action against Ukraine.

Greece will be in the knockout stage and are going to win Group C, which puts them against the fourth-placed team in Group D in the round of 16. Giannis with have the Greeks among the favorites entering the knockout stage, but they will need Dorsey to hit open shots if they are going to walk away as European champions.

Estonia has just one victory, and they will be playing for their tournament lives as the Greeks look to seal the group with an undefeated record as they head into the knockout stage.
