The Texas Legends set out for the west coast to take on the Agua Caliente Clippers and the South Bay Lakers in their second to last road trip of the season. The Legends looked to solidify their playoff spot and possibly move up in the standings.

The Dallas Mavericks affiliate played outstanding, and here's a recap on how they performed on their west coast road trip.

Moses Wright and Carlik Jones lift Legends over Clippers

The first stop on the west coast road trip was in Ontario, California as Moses Wright visited his former team the Agua Caliente Clippers. Emotions were high for him returning to the place where he played 25 games this season as Wright went off and destroyed his former team 114-107.

He led the Legends in scoring with 36 point double-double. Carlik Jones would finish with 30 points and nine assists. Three Clippers players each scored 18.

This was a dog fight to the finish and probably one of the best games in that the Legends showed their toughness. Moses Wright was dominant on the boards cleaning up rebounds and putting back dunks on the other end.

Now for the bad news, The Legends lost a key player in their offense as Feron Hunt signed to a two-way deal with the New York Knicks. It was a huge blow for the Mavs organization based on how he was playing this season. There is a good chance Hunt is in the NBA next season and best of luck to him in his playing career.

Moses Wright racks up double-double as Legends beat Lakers

The Legends would continue their road trip as they travel to LA to take on the South Bay Lakers. You would think the Lakers would know how to guard Moses Wright from his time with the Clippers, but you couldn't tell as the Legends beat the Lakers 122-110.

Wright would finish with another 30 point double-double for the Legends, while Justin Jackson and Olin Carter III each scored 24. Mason Jones and Matt McClung led the Lakers in scoring.

After this game, I bet you the Lakers are about to call Dallas and ask them to move Moses Wright up to the Mavericks. Moses Wright is playing out of his mind right now, and he might not be down with the Legends much longer if he keeps it up.

Carlik Jones sinks last second free throws as Legends complete west coast sweep

This game came down to the final milliseconds as Carlik Jones reminded young hoopers that they should practice their free throws. The Legends would go to the free-throw line with 0.8 seconds left and make them both to lift them to 113-112 win to complete the west coast sweep.

Moses Wright wouldn't get another double-double, but he did lead the team in scoring with 33 points. Justin Jackson finished second in scoring with 19 points, and Carlik Jones scored 17.

Lakers couldn't stop Moses Wright for a second straight game as he dominated to boards and couldn't miss from behind the arc. Carlik Jones came in clutch when the Legends needed him to put the nail in the coffin. This was the perfect game to cap off the west coast revenge tour.

The Legends return home to take on the Memphis Hustle in their second to last home game on March 25th. They then hit the road for two road games in Birmingham and Salt Lake City before wrapping up the regular season at home against Austin on April 2nd. If you live in the Frisco area and haven't gotten tickets to the final two home games this season, I highly recommend that you do.
