The Dallas Mavericks face the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday night. It is the second night of a back-to-back for Dallas. They lost to the Raptors 105-100 on Saturday as Toronto sold out to stop Luka Doncic. The rest of the roster got plenty of open looks, but they did not convert enough as the Mavs suffered their third straight loss.

Dallas decided to rest Reggie Bullock against the Bucks. The 6’6 wing has struggled to start this season, and things keep getting worse. The Mavericks are hoping a night off breaks Bullock from his slump.

Who will get more opportunities with Bullock sidelined on the second night of a back-to-back? Here is a closer look at his slump before diving into who should play his role on Sunday evening.

Reggie Bullock (rest) out for Dallas Mavericks at Bucks: Who steps up?

Bullock is averaging just 5.1 points in 28.8 minutes per game so far this season as he is shooting just 30.0 percent from the field and 28.0 percent on his 3-point tries. The 31-year-old has made just four of 29 attempts over the last five games, and the Mavs have just one win in that stretch. Bullock needs to shoot better moving forward.

Bullock resting opens up more minutes for Josh Green and Tim Hardaway Jr. on the wing. THJ is also in the middle of a shooting slump. Head coach Jason Kidd announced Hardaway Jr. would start in Bullock’s place, and he will likely ride the hot hand against Milwaukee. The Mavs will also be able to throw out more lineups with two big men, which could mean additional playing time for Christian Wood on Sunday night.

Maxi Kleber is back, and no other players are listed on the Dallas Mavericks injury report. They want to snap their three-game skid in Milwaukee on Nov. 27, so expect plenty of Luka Doncic. Fans know he will put up monster numbers, but will the Mavs win? Tune in to find out.
