5. Jaime Jaquez Jr.

Last week's rank: 3

After returning from a lengthy quad injury, Jaime Jaquez Jr. has been struggling to maintain the same production he once did.

The former UCLA Bruin recently returned from a quad injury that kept him sidelined for nearly two weeks. During those two weeks, the Miami Heat made a franchise-altering trade by acquiring former Hornet Terry Rozier.

Since the Rozier trade and the Jaquez Jr. absence, the Heat have struggled to stay afloat in the tough Eastern Conference. At one point, the team boasted a 24-23 record after losing seven straight games, five of which Jaquez Jr. did not play for.

However, since returning, the Heat have managed to win two games in a row. Granted, one of which was against a struggling Washington Wizards squad, but a win is a win at this stage for the Heat. Unfortunately for fans of the Heat and Jaquez Jr., his production has plummeted over the last week.

The 22-year-old rookie has only managed to score 24 points in the four games he has played and has yet to score at the same volume he did just a month ago. This could just be a slump for Jaquez Jr., or this could be early signs of something bigger.

The Heat's two-game winning streak will likely come to a close on Sunday as they play the LA Clippers. For Jaquez Jr., it will be important he can have the same production he once had if the Heat are to have any chance against the best team in the league.
