The Dallas Mavericks have two All-Star starters this weekend after their blockbuster trade for Kyrie Irving. Superstar Luka Doncic will make his fourth appearance and third start with Irving going to the game for the eighth time.

All-Star Friday night is highlighted by the Rising Stars event where four teams will play a tournament to crown a winner. Former Mavericks Deron Williams and Jason Terry will coach two of the teams, and fans can see the rosters below.

This year’s Slam Dunk contest lacks big names, but there still promises to be fireworks as they attempt to leap out of the gym. Here are the four players taking part in this year’s event.

2023 3-point contest participants
Jayson Tatum and Damian Lillard headline the field taking part in the 3-point contest this year. Eight players will compete for the coveted prize, including Lauri Markkanen representing the hometown Jazz.

Three teams are taking part in this year’s Skills Challenge, which is headlined by Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The NBA added some spicy to this year’s All-Star game as the draft will happen just one hour before the game tips off. LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo are captains, but no other player knows which side they will be on until just minutes before.
