Mavs vs 76ers Prop Bet Picks and Promo Offer (Kyrie Bounces Back)

facebooktwitterreddit

The Mavericks’ playoff hopes hang in the balance with each regular season game as they continue to teeter on the edge of the top six seeds.

Tonight, they’ll have a chance to bolster their resume – for their team and Luka Doncic’s MVP candidacy – against Joel Embiid (if he plays) and one of the East’s top three teams.

I have some prop bets circled for this game that you might want to read about, but before we get into that, you’ll want to know how you can take advantage of DraftKings Sportsbook’s new user promotion

Best Prop Picks for Mavs vs. 76ers

Embiid sat out Wednesday night with foot soreness, but could suit up tonight with the team off Friday. Of course, his presence – or absence – would make a massive difference on the outcome tonight, so don’t place your wager until a ruling is made.

Here are my best prop picks for tonight’s game (excluding Embiid):

Kyrie Irving OVER 23.5 points

Irving’s usage has taken a slight hit since his trade to the Mavs, taking a backseat to Doncic in the offense.

Irving has averaged 18.3 field goal attempts per game in his seven games since joining the team, which would still rank 19th in the NBA on a season-long pace (he’s 10th in the NBA in that category for the season).

The new Mavs star cleared this number in each of his first four games with Dallas, but hasn’t hit it in the three games since the All-Star Break. But when you take a closer look at why, it makes more sense. Irving didn’t need to shoot in a blowout of the Spurs and made less than 40 percent of his shots in the two games after.

Tonight he could take advantage of James Harden’s poor defense on more than one occasion and the game will likely necessitate Dallas’s stars to keep shooting until the end.

James Harden UNDER 2.5 Made 3-pointers

Harden has been hot from beyond the arc lately, making at least three 3-pointers in six of his last 10 games. But Dallas allows the least amount of made 3-pointers in the NBA, including just nine makes per game over their last three.

Against most teams, betting on Harden 3's in a potentially high-scoring matchup would be a solid play, but not tonight.

You can grab plus-odds on Harden's under due to his high volume of shooting (he averaged 7.3 attempts per game in February), but the value is in Dallas's perimeter defense.
