The Dallas Mavericks avoided the dreaded 2-0 hole in their first-round playoff series against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Dallas was one of the hottest teams in the NBA entering the postseason, but a 109-97 road loss in Game 1 of the series cooled off the Mavericks’ hot streak. Dallas bounced back when it needed it most on Tuesday, pulling out a 96-93 win at Crypto.com Arena to even the series ahead of a venue shift for the next two contests.

Dallas is now back to getting love in the futures market. Here’s a look at the odds shift for its first-round matchup and beyond.

Dallas jumps to 1st-round favorite vs. Clippers

The Mavericks-Clippers first-round series was projected to be one of the closest in the NBA playoffs between two teams with championship aspirations.

Following the Mavericks win on Tuesday to tie the series, Dallas has now shifted to a -150 favorite ($100 bet wins $66.67) to beat the Clippers, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Those odds carry an implied probability of 60% that the Mavericks will advance to the second round of the Western Conference Playoffs.

Dallas is getting love in the futures market, too, with a pair of home games on deck in the series. According to FanDuel, the Mavericks are tied with the Minnesota Timberwolves as the third-favorite to win the Western Conference at +650 ($100 bet wins $650). That’s an implied probability of 13.33% of Dallas reaching the NBA Finals.

They trail the Denver Nuggets (+105) and Oklahoma City Thunder (+500) on the odds board.

Dallas a small home favorite in Game 3

The Mavericks opened as a small road favorite in Game 2 before it was announced that Los Angeles Clippers’ star Kawhi Leonard would play after missing the series opener.

Dallas and LA will battle in Game 3 on Friday at American Airlines Center and the Mavericks have opened as 4-point favorites, per FanDuel. Dallas is 21-20 ATS at home this season and 15-13 ATS as a home favorite.
