Dallas Mavericks dud from win over the Clippers in LA: 1. Tim Hardaway Jr.

Hardaway Jr. could not find his shot in Los Angeles. He struggled in Sunday’s loss, including making just two of his 12 field goal attempts, as THJ finished with eight points in nearly 36 minutes of action. He was hoping to bounce back in Tuesday's game.

Instead, his shooting woes continued as he made just five of his 17 field goals, including two of ten from 3-point range in an off night. He still produced 13 points, five rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 41 minutes of action, and the Mavericks outscored the Clippers by six with him on the floor.

The Mavs are going to need Hardaway Jr. to fill that third scoring role, especially if Jalen Brunson is forced to miss time with his foot injury. The 29-year-old can get white-hot, but he has been inconsistent to start the 2021-2022 season. Dallas needs him to consistently knock down jumpers and space the floor for the offense to perform at an elite level.

Tim Hardaway Jr. will be looking to end his two-game skid as the Dallas Mavericks host the Washington Wizards on Saturday night. The team is going to enjoy a Thanksgiving holiday break, which could just be the thing that allows THJ to get his shot dialed in.
