Mavericks NBA Championship odds surge after huge Game 2 win

Both the Mavericks and Clippers are in the top-half of the odds board to win the NBA Finals, but no one is getting the respect Dallas is with the 1-1 series about to head to American Airlines Arena for the next two contests.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Mavericks are in a three-way tie for fourth on the NBA Championship odds board at +1600 ($100 bet wins $1,600), which is an implied probability of  5.88% that Dallas runs the table.

Interestingly enough, the Mavericks are tied on the odds board at +1600 with two teams, the Minnesota Timberwolves and New York Knicks, that hold a lead in their respective first-round series.

At +650, Dallas and Minnesota are tied for third in the odds to win the Western Conference and reach the NBA Finals. They trail the defending-champion Denver Nuggets (-130) and top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder (+440).

Dallas favored in Game 3 Friday

According to FanDuel, Dallas is a 4.5-point favorite in Game 3 against the Clippers on Friday night. The Mavericks have the fourth-best ATS mark as a favorite this season at 34-18.

After winning on the road to tie the series, Dallas is now a small favorite (-164) to win the series over the higher-seeded Clippers.
