The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 104-96 on Dec. 8 behind an impressive performance from superstar Luka Doncic, but it took a total team effort to grab the win.

Kristaps Porzingis was in foul trouble on Wednesday night. With Willie Cauley-Stein out, head coach Jason Kidd called on Moses Brown. Fans have been clamoring for more minutes for the 7’2 big man this season, but he played just a total of 32 through the first 23 games.

Brown rewarded Kidd and the Mavericks with 12 minutes that features plenty of flashes of his immense potential. The 22-year-old is still raw and figuring things out, but he made a massive impact. Here is a look at his stat line, what fans should be excited about, and where Brown still needs to improve.

The 7’2 big man immediately made an impact with his energy. He was flying around the court and being forceful on the glass. Brown grabbed four offensive rebounds on Wednesday night as he finished with nine points, seven boards, one steal, and two blocks in 12 minutes of action. He was the first player this season to produce nine, seven, and two in less than 15 minutes, according to Stathead.

Moses Brown’s energy and effort were contagious. He kept making plays and being around the ball. There were mistakes, but Brown helped the Dallas Mavericks win on Dec. 8. Here is a closer look at how and what the 22-year-old needs to improve to earn a consistent role.
