The Dallas Mavericks split the first two games of the 2021-2022 season. It was a disappointing and frustrating start to the Jason Kidd era as the Mavs were blown out in their season opener. They bounced back to top the Toronto Raptors in game two, but they have still not played their home opener.

Dwight Powell earned the nod as the team's starting center this season. He struggled in the opener but found his stride in Toronto. There are questions about his fit in the starting five as the Mavs are still figuring things out under head coach Jason Kidd.

Mavericks fans know that Powell and teammate Maxi Kleber have one of the best pregame routines in the NBA, and they have it locked in to start the 2021-2022 season.

Fans should come early to Tuesday’s home opener against the Houston Rockets to see Powell and Kleber performing their pregame routine. The Mavs starting center posted a few photos of the duo nailing it in Toronto.

Luka Doncic will also put on a show for the supporters at the American Airlines Center on Tuesday night. He is likely to be launching trick shots during the warmup before looking for his first triple-double of the season against the rebuilding Rockets.

Powell and Kleber are friends away from the court and two of the most active Mavericks in the community. Fans should expect to see plenty of the duo this season.

They are also two key pieces of the team as they attempt to figure out who plays next to Kristaps Porzingis. Powell offers a better screener, but Kleber is the more versatile player. Who will new coach Jason Kidd prefer as the season wears on?

The Dallas Mavericks home opener on Tuesday will be a can-not-miss event. Be sure to head to the American Airlines Center if you are able to and enjoy the game.
