Mavericks depth chart heading into 2021-2022 regular season

Dallas Mavericks depth chart heading into regular season: Center
Coach Kidd let everyone know early in camp that Dwight Powell would be the starter at the five, but Dallas has plenty of options here if things are not working out, including shifting Maxi Kleber down to play this spot.
Starter: Dwight Powell
Powell looks healthy and ready to go this season. He made four 3-pointers this preseason and is stepping into those wide-open shots with more confidence. DP is also an elite roll man that pairs well with Luka Doncic.
Backup: Willie Cauley-Stein
Trill has played the backup center minutes during the preseason, and fans know what to expect. He is going to play hard, but there will be mistakes.
Third string: Boban Marjanovic
Marjanovic is the perfect third center because it does not force him to play every time out, but he can change the game at a moment’s notice. Boban is beloved in the locker room, and hopefully, coach Kidd finds a larger on-court role for him this season.
Developing: Moses Brown
The Mavs acquired Brown in the Josh Richardson trade with the Celtics. The 7’2 big man has impressed with his worth ethic and energy during training camp. Expect him to play the majority of his minutes in the G League this season, but Moses Brown has already showcased his potential.
The Dallas Mavericks roster and depth chart are set and the regular-season opener cannot get here soon enough, so please stay tuned for all the latest.
