The Dallas Mavericks have one of the best broadcast crews in all of sports. From play-by-play man Mark Followill to analyst Derek Harper to Jeff "Skin" Wade to the pre and postgame show crew, the Mavs knock it out of the park with their gameday broadcasts.

Former player and a key piece of their broadcast team Cedric Ceballos has been battling COVID-19. He contracted the virus in late August and had a multiple-week stay in the hospital. On Sept. 13, Ceballos announced he was COVID-free, and days later he was removed from the intensive care unit (ICU). Fans have been sending well wishes throughout his fight.

Ceballos offered another update on Sept. 21. Let us take a closer look.

Cedric Ceballos announces he is out of the hospital

Ceballos once again took to Twitter to let fans know the latest on his health. See his tweet below.

It is fantastic to hear the 52-year-old is out of the hospital after a three-week stay. He will continue to recover at home, and fans should keep sending thoughts and well wishes.

Cedric Ceballos played two and half seasons for the Dallas Mavericks from 1998 to 2000. He was there for the early days of Dirk Nowitzki but was traded away just before they snapped their decade-long playoff drought. Ceballos helped the Mavs turn things around as a key rotation player.

Hopefully, Cedric Ceballos will be healthy and ready for the Mavericks' first game. They kick off their preseason slate on Oct. 6 against the Utah Jazz at the American Airlines Center. The Mavs' first regular-season game is scheduled for Oct. 21 in Atlanta versus Trae Young and the Hawks. It would be fantastic to see Ceballos back working the desk and offering his trademark humor.
