The Mavs need to replace 24.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 7.9 assists per game, but it is more than that. Doncic is the heartbeat of the offense as the player who gets everyone involved and makes their shots easier.

Without him, each player needs to do more. Dallas must have players to surprise supporters looking at the box score. Kristaps Porzingis needs to drop 25 and dish out a few more dimes. Tim Hardaway Jr. needs to score 20 and make a couple of plays of his own. Jalen Brunson must hand out ten assists and continue scoring. The Mavericks need Reggie Bullock and Dorian Finney-Smith to sink a few extra shots.

It will have to be a team effort that is done with increased contributions from everyone. Head coach Jason Kidd is going to look to put each player in an advantageous spot one or two more times each game. It won’t be easy, but it is what the Mavericks will have to do without their 22-year-old superstar.
